The Easy Taco Seasoning Recipe That's a Welcomed Homemade Gift

Americans love their tacos. In the US, we eat over 4 billion tacos per year. It can be a fun meal to get out, but with the rise in costs of everything lately, many people are working to bring their budgets in line and this mix helps you make great tacos and more at home with a little bit of effort that delivers big on taste.
This and other mixes I created are inspired by Leanne Ely, the founder of Saving Dinner. They have become a requested gift year after year from some of my family members, and I love anything that makes gift giving easier and more affordable.
The best way to create this mix is with a food processor, although a spoon and large bowl will work well also. Our preferred container is a mason jar because they keep the mixes airtight, and are easy to label for gift giving. A wide mouth funnel makes filling the jars much easier.

Taco Seasoning Mix
This mix is incredibly versatile and will be used up quickly. Fortunately, it mixes quickly as well. To create the mix, use the instructions in the video.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup chili powder
1/3 cup Cumin
2 tablespoons Paprika
2 ½ - 3 teaspoons Onion powder
2 ½ - 3 teaspoons Garlic powder
2 ½ - 3 teaspoons Oregano
2 ½ - 3 teaspoons Red pepper flakes
3 tablespoons salt
3 tablespoons pepper
For dip: Add 1/2 to ¾ cup seasoning mix to any melted cheese or cheese combination.
For taco seasoning: Add ¼ to ½ cup per pound of meat, chicken or fish.
